I have to imagine that most people doing picture-a-day projects had to be shooting fireworks pictures tonight. Sorry to be so trite and follow suit, but it's not everyday that you have a surefire pre-planned photo opportunity so I had to take it.
Fireworks pictures are fun to do. It takes a few shots to dial in the exposure and then once you have it you fire away. Typically the exposures are long giving you time for several bursts to fill the frame.

Shot spex: RAW Image, Pentax K10D, ISO 100, 78mm, f11, 10 sec., no flash, tripod was a must!
PhotoShop spex: Smart Sharpened (as always), and adjusted the Hue a smidge and the Saturation a bit more than normal for the effect.
